Monday

We have another healthy eater on our hands!  This is the hotel breakfast buffet.  I get a good variety here, too (greens, purple potatoes, mushrooms, tofu, nuts, fruit.)

Ariel is crazy about their noodles.

Driving to the Civil Affairs office to finalize the adoption.  We passed a group of Tai Chi ladies.

After more paperwork, they issued us our adoption decrees and we had a little ceremony.  They gave the girls dolls dressed in the native minority group dresses, and bracelets.  The lady on the left and  man on right were officials who helped with everything.

There are five America World families here, and another in Shaanxi Province, who we'll meet this weekend when we all go to Guangzhou.  Families left to right are Michelle & Sam with Charlotte, us, Barbara & Paul & Olivia with Jessica.  The other 2 families have their ceremony tomorrow.

The universal soothing power of Dora.  Both girls were watching it on the small DVD player after Willow had some sadness.  She misses her Nai Nai.  Willow likes books and Dora, and is also hot-natured, so she'll fit in well with us.

She likes the toys.  Last night she built a little castle out of blocks and stacking cups.  But when Jeff came near it, she knocked it down (apparently Jeff is notorious for messing with her toys - they had a funny stacking cup incident the first night.)

At the mall by our hotel.  We walked all around and found a little terrace by the tea shop.
