Willow's school

Every day that Willow goes to school, they send us a report and usually a photo.  We saved several photos, starting last fall.

They do many arts & crafts.

I wish I could shrink myself and spend some days at her school!

 With her close friend, Ela.

Their teachers are Miss Elizabeth and Miss Eleni.  Someday I'll get photos of them.  Some of the other class members are Alessandra, Clara, Sophia, Farris, Holden, Lucas, Lulu, Anastasia, Connor, and Spencer (attendance varies from day to day, and some days they spend in other classrooms for variety.)

Place of the Month

We started this in March, with Ireland.  My co-worker Liz had the idea: celebrate and learn about a different country every month.  This month (April) is Chile, but it's so interesting, we're extending into May until I can finish my library books (I Lived on Butterfly Hill, and Travels in a Thin Country.)

Empanadas and Chilean wine.  (the purple is actually grape juice.)  We fill empanadas with vegan fillings, including chimmichurri (parsley, cilantro sauce), quinoa, peppers, and beans.

It's always good to color your Sprite the colors of country-month flag.  Blue & red for Chile.  Green for Ireland!
For the next place, we'll draw from a can (pieces of paper with places we're interested in.)  Country month involves a lot of library books.  I'm enjoying Chilean guitar music, and my I Lived on Butterfly Hill novel is the best.

our library

In Boerne.  It's as good outside as it is inside!
There's a new small amphitheater outside for musicians.  Behind the musicians is a nature area with creek, woods, and trails.
