While everyone packed until our late checkout (2 PM), we also played in the hall. This is Jessica ("Jessie") in her pretty new dress. We had good times playing in the hall at the Trade Point, even though our rooms were very hot, the showers dirty, and we had other complaints about the hotel (it was otherwise nice, and grew on us.) Once we got to Guangzhou, our rooms were separated mostly on different floors, so no more hallway play dates.
Haley shows us her Panda Cookies. These were the same cookies we fed Willow Yu in the first hour of meeting her. We picked them out quickly that morning at the Lifestyle Market supermarket.
Besides walking up and down the hall and around the hotel, Willow played in bed with her toys.
At 2, we gathered in the lobby one last time to meet Vickie, get the kids' Chinese passports, load our luggage, and drive to Guiyang airport.
Willow enjoyed the flight and became very silly and vocal. She wasn't as interested in coloring, as just playing with the crayons (sword-fighting Daddy.) Ariel rested - she had a little cold and also has permanent upper incisors poking through, so she chewed on her straw cup a lot. As you can tell, Willow has quite the noggin. Our flight was at 6, and lasted 1.5 hours. In Guangzhou, our new local guide, Helen, picked us up in a nice big bus and took us to China Hotel Marriott. Those of us who adopted before knew we were in for a wonderful, luxurious time there.

We pushed the beds together into one giant bed. Ariel and Willow cozied up in it right away.
