Our beautiful and smart Schmig

Willow by the Willows

Yang, our skilled and friendly bus driver.  He relaxed while everyone toured a Miao handicraft museum and shopped.  Miao is the ethnic minority group in this area.  They do embroidery, batik, and silver jewelry.  In this area, they often wear traditional costumes, too.  We think both our girls may be Miao (pronounced "mee-ow").  Yang the bus driver is great with the kids and has a 2-year-old son himself.

Lots and lots of smiles, expressions, and sounds.  We sang songs, including Good Times and Different Strokes from 80s TV shows.  After this outing Willow Hao Yu had a solid nap.  I went out exploring and shopping for Xi Yang Yang and Doraemon cartoon items (hand towels, water bottle) and Chinese kids' books.  Jeff stayed at the hotel with the girls.

Jeff fed her noodles, pistachio, fruit, etc.  We brought toddler formula and bottles, but she isn't interested in them.  She has advanced eating skills!  But we still want to "re-parent" a bit by babying her and hand-feeding her.  It's important to do when you both miss out on the baby time together.
