Yukiguni

My culture group friends & I returned from Yuzawa last night. We had a relaxing time. The area is famous for the novel Snow Country ("Yukiguni" is the Japanese title.) Now I'd like to read it. The main character is based on a real woman who lived there. I learned a bit about the area's history in the Yuzawa City Museum, which displayed old ski and farming equipment, old photos, art, and typical tatami rooms.
