Ariel is now over 3 feet (37 inches? It's hard to measure when she's wiggly) and about 31 pounds. But she appears much taller when she wears last winter's pants!
She has some new interests: Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck & friends, My Little Pony books, Sandra Boynton books as usual, The Wiggles (music and show/DVDs). If you don't know The Wiggles, they're an Australian kids' music group. We all like dancing to The Wiggles. We watch The Pajanimals most nights before going to bed (it's a 15-minute show.)
Lately, Ariel likes to touch all our fingernails, and have us say "ring fingernail", "pinky fingernail", etc. She tries to say it, too. She works hard at school and therapy, often with good rewards like fruit, peanut butter, cookies, and special toys. She's interested in letters and sometimes identifying words.
Lately, she loves to recite her book "Oh My, Oh My, Dinosaurs" and hear "We Are the Dinosaurs" song by Laurie Berkner. She was surprised to see a flower bed full of toy dinosaurs and animals on our recent trip to Austin. She still loves Dora and books about kittens and cats.
I'm just behind on blogging pictures. Our friends at Yokota are leaving this weekend for China to adopt twin daughters! Wishing them smooth-sailing on their journey and fun while in China.
