After Jeff left, Ariel & I cheered ourselves up by taking a mountain vacation in Hakone. See our Flickr page for lots more photos.
We stayed at the Fuji-Hakone Guest House, which is part youth hostel and part ryokan (traditional Japanese inn with hot spring bath.) We had a good time there meeting the owners and other travelers. Two ladies who work there played & sang Okinawan music in the common room our first night. Ariel loved hearing them play.
