Normally, I trim her fringey bangs with safety scissors in the split seconds I can get her to hold still. I do it because she likes to wear hats and hoods, and I didn't think she'd tolerate hair accessories to keep hair out of her eyes. But she seemed to like this hairdo, and I wore a matching one that morning for yoga and chores. The "whale tail" is inspired by our friends the Sanders, who were in our China adoption travel group. Their new daughter, Madison, sported the cutest whale tail.
Ralph and Nene hang out in the family bedroom with us a lot. Nene adores Jeff, as I knew she would.
