Ariel & I spent a day in August doing paperwork for her re-adoption in the US. It's something we've been working on, and it will give her a US birth certificate and legal protections in the USA. Or it's just another way to get money from adoptive parents (she is already a US citizen.) But we'll do it for her. We dropped off the papers early in the morning, and had the rest of the day to play.
Ariel spread joy to all the people dropping off documents at the State Department.
It's not all serious inside.
We had lunch together at a Middle Eastern restaurant near the zoo.
Falafel, tabouleh, hummus, and pitas.
In Amazonia, the coolest, most tranquil part of the zoo.
Studying nature books in the Amazonia library.
