Dim Sum for Christmas

We tried out A&J Dim Sum restaurant in Annandale.  It was small and popular.  We enjoyed lots of yummy dishes.  We sat at a round table with another family.  They were a young couple (possibly Chinese?) with two little girls.

Christmas

On some day before Christmas, we met Jeff at work and had lunch at the BX.

These are from Willow's first Christmas Eve with us.

She liked the gingerbread person ornament Ariel had made in school last year.

Good weather on Christmas morning, so we went for a run!

Georgetown

On a Sunday before Christmas holidays, we drove to Georgetown and parked.

Weather was cold and sunny, and lots of people were walking around.  We saw ice skaters, Jeff & Willow had hot chocolate, we walked and walked, along the canal and shopping streets, and had Spanish tapas.  Then we thought we saw Anthony Bourdain driving out of the parking garage.

Then we drove around the National Mall at night.

Willow and I finished up with late night yoga with a Xi Yang Yang towel and mat.  She's copying my chair pose.

This was around Christmas and Hanukkah time

Nene always gets lots of kisses.  Sometimes she gets a little cranky about it, but stays put anyway.

around town

Jeff took the girls out for sushi & scones at Safeway while I did things at home.

Hat girl.  This one came from Goodwill.

We met friends for dinner at Primo's Family Restaurant in nearby Belle View Plaza.  We had Italian food as well as hummus, pitas, and dolmades.

Molly, Jason, and Maggie (O'Hara)
Maggie is a former co-worker of Jeff's.  She is a helicopter pilot, too, and recently retired from the Air Force.  We found out they live near us when we saw them at a park a couple years ago.

our Christmas decorations

Jeff has fun with our yard decorations and lights.  They are fun, and the girls like to visit and kiss them and inquire about who they all are.

a drive through Bowie

I took a drive through Bowie while Willow slept.  Since we'll be leaving here soon, I took photos of our old stomping grounds.

Our old rental house.  It burned down a couple years ago on Superbowl Sunday.  It took a long time, but Christy, the owner, had it rebuilt.  It is probably the newest house in the K section of Bowie!  No one was hurt in the fire.
