FCC Camp

We spent Father's Day weekend at West River Camp south of Annapolis.  It was with Families with Children from China, Maryland.  They've been doing it for 8 years, but this was our first time.  We stayed in a nice cabin with other families.  Our was the Peace Cabin.  Bob, the photographer/DJ/trumpet player also took these photos: http://rjmjr.smugmug.com/CAMP-FCC-2014/i-jmDZGwR

 Lots of new friends.  You can see Ariel up top rejoicing with her banana.  The little boy on the right (blue & orange shirt) is Vincent, and he our special teammate during field day.

Afterward, we had a campfire in the woods with camp fun songs led by one of the older girls.

 We went to Frying Pan Park out near Dulles.  We took a wagon ride through the woods and fields and saw a snake.  The park has farm animals, that we hope don't end up in a frying pan.

 Steven had his first carousel experience here and later that day at Dulles Town Center (indoor mall.)

Sandy Point Beach State Park

 The last weekend in May, we had Day at the Bay with Families with Children from China.  It's on the Chesapeake Bay near Annapolis.

 Ariel and the other kids (and I) enjoyed the cool water and gritty sand.

 Jeff couldn't join us that day, so Ariel found this dad of twins to cuddle with.

 She liked his facial hair.  Then she tried to take a nap in his lap.

We made some new friends and took a driving tour of Annapolis while Ariel slept in the car.

Scrabble

We had a relaxing Friday afternoon game.  Gwyn is a family friend of Jehangir's and also is his daily caretaker.  We all have a lot of fun together.  Jehangir is a talented Scrabble player.  I always end up learning new words.

Memorial Day weekend at Sandie's

 We went to Sesame Place with Sandie and her niece Samantha!  We rode some rides, then the floating river and played in the tidal pool.  We saw Cookie Monster and The Count.
